  11. @PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS
  12. The two document files "DOC COURIER" and "DOC GOTHIC" are formatted so when printed on a Deskjet with landscape capability they will be two columns wide per sheet of paper. The original Deskjet requires the 22707K upgrade to print landscape Courier and the 22707L to print landscape Gothic.
  13. (1) Select the LMX-850 NF printer driver from the GEOS pulldown menu.
  14. (2) Select the desk accessory (Text Print file) "LANDRIGHT" and print page 2 of the "DOC COURIER" geowrite document.
  15. (3) Change to the LMX-850 F driver.
  16. (4) Select "LANDLEFT" and print page 1.
  17. (5) Still using "LANDLEFT" print page 3.
  18. Any page, odd or even, can be printed on either end of a single sheet of paper. Programs, booklets, etc. can be produced this way. Multiple columns on letter and legal size paper can be printed. Try this:
  19. (1) Select the LMX-850 F driver.
  20. (2) Select "LANDRIGHT".
  21. (3) Print page 1 of "Doc Courier".
  22. (4) Re-insert the paper in the feed tray, in the same position it is after printing.
  23. (5) Select the LMX-850 NF driver.
  24. (6) Select "LANDRIGHT".
  25. (7) Print page 3.
  26. (8) Select the LMX-850 F driver.
  27. (9) Select "LANDLEFT".
  28. (10) Print page 2.
  29. (11) Fold the paper in half... a program anyone?
  30. To center the columns adjust the margins in geowrite. The pages of "DOC COURIER" could just have easily been printed in a different sequence. To minimize printer driver shuffling, page 3 could have been printed first with "LANDRIGHT" using LMX-850 NF; then page 2 with "LANDLEFT" using LMX-850 F; and then page 1, after re-inserting the paper, with "LANDRIGHT" still using the LMX-850 F driver. Different Text Print files have to be used to print the different columns.
  31. Another possible way to use the printer drivers is to use the LMX-850 NF all the time and punch the FF (formfeed) button on the printer after sending data to print.
  32. @IMPORTANT:
  33.  The geowrite pages CANNOT be longer than 8 inches if more than one page is to be printed on one sheet of paper. The printer will eject the paper after printing one page if it is too long (even using the LMX-850 NF driver).
